Sara Jaffe designs one-of-a-kind furniture and cabinetry upon commission. All pieces are fabricated in the San Francisco Bay area in collaboration with highly skilled craftsmen and artists. This ensures good communication and allows us to develop and refine special details that are integrated into the designs.

Sara’s custom art furniture is found in the finest homes, businesses and vacation retreats.

Sara Jaffe Designs has created multiple Furniture Collections that are made upon order. Her acclaimed furniture lines can be modified to meet your specification, and special motifs and details can be created specifically for the client.  The collections are fabricated in the San Francisco Bay Area, in collaboration with highly skilled manufacturers, craftsmen and artisans to insure attention to detail.

Sara Jaffe works directly with clients to create interior design projects and custom art furniture. Examples of her work are shown under Special Projects.  She also works with other firms as part of the team, or as a consultant, to develop specific aspects of a project. Developing a project as a team insures jobs are more effectively and comprehensively developed.

Design services include learning about the client’s needs and requirements, developing schematic ideas that lead to the final design, creating complete construction documents, overseeing fabrication, delivery and installation.

We can assist and coordinate with the selection of other furniture, textiles, furnishings, materials, and finishes. This includes working with “to the trade showrooms” and designing unique elements that require specialty artists such as wood carvers, metal smiths, faux finishers and stained glass artists. The intent is to create the best possible outcome for the project.

If your organization or school could use a little design inspiration or a better understanding of design, design and build, furniture design and creation, look to one of the industry leaders. Sara Jaffe has taught interior design in San Francisco, at AICASF and FIDM, and in New York City at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is both informative and entertaining.
